Preschoolers Post-Pandemic: Keeping Us Healthy and Warm

Help me give my students toothbrushing supplies, Kleenex, and winter hats and gloves.

My Project

My students are pre-kindergarten students who meet the state requirements and are labeled as being "at-risk" of not succeeding; thus, they are placed in the program to help them succeed. They are four years of age and live in a medium-large city. My school follows the "Nurtured Heart" philosophy, where we work to find greatness in each child. In my classroom, I try to make each child comfortable and part of our school family.

Jim Rohn says, “Take care of your body, it’s the only place you have to live.”

In our classroom, we have Head Start children, and thus have to brush our teeth daily. Head Start supplies toothbrushes and paste, but often we run short of supplies, and have to wait for our next supply, and miss toothbrushing time while we wait. Having our own supply, and having our own dixie cups to use to help us rinse would make our lives so much easier. In addition, having a steady supply of Kleenex in the winter is super important, as our noses run constantly in this cold weather. Lastly, I would love to give each of our children their own set of hat and gloves to take home to remain warm during the cold months. I am requesting enough to give us several years of use.
