My Project
Young children learn best when they can touch and feel something, sensory play provides opportunities for children to learn in meaningful ways. Sensory activities and toys provide many benefits that contribute to a child’s cognitive and social development. Sensory toys such as sensory dough, liquid tilt windows, and kinetic sand will help stimulate a child’s five senses, body awareness, and sense of balance which will greatly aid our collaborative classroom. Children use their senses and creativity to explore the materials offered in a sensory bin on their own without the expectation of an end product therefore these materials will benefit our collaborative classroom.
