Preschoolers Celebrate - Diverse Books

My Project

My students are pre-kindergarten students who meet the state requirements and are labeled as being "at-risk" of not succeeding; thus, they are placed in the program to help them succeed. They are four years of age and live in a medium-large city. My school follows the "Nurtured Heart" philosophy, where we work to find the greatness in each child. In my classroom, I try to make each child comfortable and part of our school family. My classroom is beautiful and has many materials. I have increased my STEM/STEAM resources a great deal in the last few years and enjoy using these materials with my students. My children love to explore, experiment, build and create.

My school and classroom is located in a diverse area, with a multitude of cultures present in our building. I am trying to build my library, and add some books about the cultures and holidays that represent children in my class and school. These books will help everyone feel like they are part of our school family.
