Preschool Refresh!

Help me give my students a preschool refresh! We are in need of some new items and some items to replace often used supplies in our classroom.

My Students

I am a preschool teacher in a Title I school in Chesapeake, Virginia. I have 18 curious and excited students in my class. Our students are picked on a need basis and just flourish in our classroom that is rich in print, music and hands-on activities.

My students love anything that is interactive and hands-on.

That is going to be so much more difficult this year. We are working hard to make centers and our classroom fun and exciting for our kids. We still want our children to be able to have meaningful learning experiences in the classroom and outside. We are working hard to make outside and inside play fun and interactive for our kids.

I strive to find activities and experiences that hook each child and give them exposure to academics needed for kindergarten. My students love working in small groups and love when we have new materials in the classroom.

My Project

We have hit the half way mark in the school year. This is the time where we start to run low on our much used items like band-aids, stickers and our kinetic sand is drying up!

Our students also love to have new pretend items for our dramatic play center.

I would love to be able to add some new items to dramatic play that help foster their imagination and play. I love watching the students interact and engage with each other with new and fun centers.

I am also planning ahead for my end of the year school gift. I take pictures with my assistant and each child and frame them with a poem for each child. I have children from 20 years ago that still have their picture. I would use the frames for my end of the year gift!
