Preschool Reading Center Lacks Necessities

My Students

My students love to read! Every day we use our reading center, but it is not so comfy now that our classroom carpet has been replaced by tiles.

I teach an inclusion preschool class with special needs and typically developing students ages two to five years old.

Our school is located in Virginia and we have a high military population. Most my student's families are working class. My little ones love to learn and play at school!

My Project

The carpet in my classroom was replaced by a tile floor over the summer. This is much better for a preschool class room except when we need to sit on the floor. Our reading area really needs a comfy rug so that my students can sit or lay on it to enjoy their favorite books.

A love of reading is a great gift to give a child.

In the these early education years we can foster this love in young children by introducing them to fun and engaging reading activities. Please help my students to continue to love reading for the rest of their life.
