This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The pre-school children are between the ages of three to five years. They are bright, happy, inquisitive children who are eager to learn about the world around them. They love to draw, read books, and explore in the math and science areas. I have been fortunate to have so many wonderful children over the years.

My Project

I currently co-teach in a preschool classroom, Tier-2 school in Hartford, CT. These children are diverse learners and love to explore the environment around them. Help me give my amazing preschool students at -home learning materials focusing on literacy, language, and math!

Studies show that young children learn best through hands-on and play.

Weather, pandemic-related closings, and other unforeseen circumstances keep children from attending school in-person. Children need to practice/reinforce the skills they have learned at school with their parents. These backpacks will allow children to develop their literacy, math, language, social/emotional skills and be prepared for kindergarten! I can use these materials to teach virtually as well! Thank you for your support and donations!
