This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students range from 3-5 years old and they all have a hearing loss. We are a special education classroom for deaf and hard of hearing preschoolers and my students utilize hearing aids, cochlear implants, and sign language. They all come from low-income, Hispanic or African-American families in Chicago.

Due to their hearing loss, all of my students have moderate to severe language delays and struggle to acquire language.

We have to work on everything from "What's your name?" to action words. We work really hard learning to talk and communicate!

My Project

As a teacher, I have always struggled to provide consistent math instruction to my students. I've never had an actual math curriculum to use. I usually just pull resources from various places.

I have found a preschool math curriculum on Teacher's Pay Teacher's that is comprehensive and will cover the entire school year.

It has great reviews and the units are exactly what I am looing for. I would love a TPT gift card to help me pay for this curriculum so that I can implement it this school year.
