This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I currently co-teach in a preschool classroom, at a Tier-2 school in Hartford, CT. These children are diverse learners and love to explore the environment around them. Please help me give my excellent, preschool students books about Fairy Tales for our Imagine It/Make It Theme!
During the Preschool year we expose the children to a variety of books.
Children love being read fairy tales and stories. Fairy tales are so much more than just stories. Fairy tales teach children concepts and important life lessons. Fairy tales help aid in emotional resilience in young children. Fairy tales show that people face adversity, but, if they believe in themselves, they can overcome obstacles. Stories can help children confront real-life fears and anxieties in a fantastical setting.
For this project, I am asking for fairy tales books from different countries; Jack and the Beanstalk, The Three Little Pigs, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Snow White, etc. These books will be great editions for our classroom library!
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
