Preschool Gardeners

Help me give my students opportunities to develop social and emotional skills while growing and harvesting healthy food. We need soil mix, garden kits, and staking systems.

My Project

Most of my students are starting school for the first time and after spending so much time with family members and loved ones during COVID, the levels of separation anxiety we see is higher than before. They also had limited exposure to other kids their age during COVID, so a greater emphasis on social and emotional skill development.

This year, the EarthBox Garden Kits will be used to grow strawberries.

Gardening activities help students develop necessary fine motor skills needed for writing. Working with each other will provide students with time to practice the social-emotional skills taught in preschool.

This project is for soil mix, garden kits, and staking systems.
