Preschool Field Trip to the Baltimore Aquarium

My students need admission and transportation to the Baltimore Aquarium for a field trip.

My Students

Each day our students arrive excited to learn and grow with each other. Their progress since the beginning of the year has been amazing and we are consistently surprised by how much they have grown and changed since school began.

Our girls are the most energetic and loving group of students we have ever met.

They show such enthusiasm for learning and love exploring new topics. The girls are also very supportive of one another and enjoy celebrating their peers when they learn something new. Our school is located in a low-income neighborhood in Washington, D.C. and many of our students face various types of struggles on a daily basis. Despite these challenges, our girls remain enthusiastic and show such love and compassion for each other and their teachers.

My Project

The resources will be used to take our girls on a field trip to the Baltimore Aquarium at the end of the school year. This will be a culmination activity where we will celebrate all that we have learned throughout the year. We are ending our school year with a focus on growing and changing and will be studying plants, animals and people. This field trip will give our students an up-close experience with ocean animals that will tie into our unit on growing and changing. Leading up to the trip, we will be researching many animals and where they live. After the trip, we will continue our learning by journaling about our experiences as well as reading many books about ocean life.

Without these donations, our students may not get to experience a trip like this.

We will be limited to teaching them about things through books and other sources we can use in our classroom. A trip like this would give a more hands-on approach to learning and let our students experience something wonderful!
