My Students
My students are a group of energetic, creative, eager learners. They come from a predominantly low economic background. Over ninety-five percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunch. Our school is a safe haven for many of the students since it's the only place many receive consistency along with a daily routine of learning.
My group of preschool students are excited about learning and just need a boost to help continue to motivate them.
The socioeconomic level of a student's family should neither determine the level of learning nor hinder creativity.
My Project
My preschool students need Chromebooks to be able to participate in Distant Learning Program. Chromebooks will allow my students’ to be competitive with other students their age across the state who are able to participate in online learning.
This project will provide Chromebooks which will support our Distant Learning Program, during the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Due to the current pandemic, many parents have chosen to keep their preschoolers at home. Many don’t have access to Chromebooks to participate in our Distant Learning Program, causing many students to fall further behind in their learning. These tablets would help bridge the gap in learning for those who don’t have access to them.
