Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I work in Downtown Los Angeles at an amazing Primary Center! I am a special education teacher working in a Preschool Collaborative Classroom and I work with the most amazing group of eager students who want to be in the classroom. Unfortunately, we are in the midst of a pandemic so we are all learning together remotely.
My Project
In our classroom, we have been counting, sorting, and measuring many different things in our virtual classroom. These math manipulatives will help our students by giving them high interest items to count, sort, and measure.
We will use the document camera to model for students and give clear directions of what we want them to do.
Students will be able to see clearly what is expected of them and visual learners will have the scaffold they need to feel confident in their abilities. Young students need clear directions and expectations and the document camera will help us give it to them.
