Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My children are between the ages of 3-5 years and are bright, curious learners. They are learning about themselves, their community, and their world.
Science not only teaches children about the world around them, it can also teach them more about themselves.
Children learn best in an environment that allows them outdoor exploration and sensory play. Interacting with natural environments allows children to learn by doing and experiment with ideas. Children think, question, and make hypotheses and develop inquisitive minds.
For my project I am asking for various Science/STEM learning materials (leaves, acorns, kaleidoscopes, nature blocks, life cycle of animals) to add to my classroom Science Exploration Center.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
