My Students

I teach in a Title I school in Orlando, FL where it is considered a low socio economic environment. The students are of mixed nationalities such as African American, Haitian- Creole, and Puerto Rican. We have received an influx of students due to economic challenges.

Our primary resource for increased student learning involves technology and an inviting academic environment .

In teaching second grade, it provides me with an understanding of the demands of the students for third grade. They need more resources to be successful.

My Project

These necessary supplies will continue to enhance the academic environment of the classroom that I strive to create. My classroom supplies are in a place that my students can readily access them, they complete work with them, and they are more independent! Every student has their very own supplies of crayons, pencils, markers, crayons, and scissors that they treat with love and care, and they are thankful for the opportunities to have them. You can not measure the value of new folder, markers, notebook, and crayons when it involves their self esteem. All of these supplies have been chosen with my students in mind-I will watch them excell during the school year because they have everything they need. Students will be able to choose materials, which will help them continue to enjoy the classroom and become a more productive student.

With these new supplies, my students will be able to choose from a variety of resources that will allow them to be successful in 2nd grade.

They will also be able to choose resources that are new and inviting. The best way to increase student moral is to provide with construction paper, markers, whiteboards and other resources, that will continue to help my students grow stronger in all content areas. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in being independent, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the necessary tools.
