My Project

The last two years have been devastating on so many levels, not least in their impact on young children. In my class of 1st and 2nd graders, I have students who have never had a normal school year, and some who had not stepped into a physical classroom before this year.

These supplies will help them overcome two of the major challenges they have faced due to the pandemic: setbacks in reading instruction and skills, and the immense social-emotional gaps they have from being isolated for so long.

The items on this list will be used to support phonics growth, social emotional learning, and collaboration between students, all things my students have found deeply challenging this year. With your help, we can make growth not only possible, but fun for these amazing kiddos who will someday be our leaders.
