Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class consists of caring, enthusiastic, & awesome students. We all work hard while learning, always keeping our class environment inviting, comfortable, & secure. More than 90% of our students live within or below poverty, but always come with a smile. Every student has a story to tell about their life & family. Many students in our class live with relatives & their parents in another country. Regardless of the living situation, my students know they are all special to me.

My goal as a teacher is to get students to know that they can make a difference in their own lives.

They need to make positive choices and always work hard. I want all my students to succeed academically and economically today and far into the future. Our class learns from day one that we all need to get along to make life easier for all of us. It teaches them how to work as a team, prepares them for middle & high school, & the future, which requires all to work together. Most importantly it teaches them to become good respectful and responsible citizens. They need to know: "I Can Learn, Know, and Be Anything".

My Project

The Chromebook will make a world of a difference in our class by allowing students to work in small group and research information for their project. Our school is now on to the project based and active learning, which requires students to research information, documents, and pictures while creating a project. Then they will present it to the teacher and class. Students will have many options as to how they would like to present it. A Chromebook would allow a group to work at their desk and research information and continue on with their project to meet deadline. The toner will allow students to add color and pictures to their projects.

This method of learning will provide differentiation for students to meet the needs of all by including visuals aids, picture in order to understand, and comprehend information.
