Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials and supplies I am requesting are to encourage independence in my students by providing marketable vocational skills. We have a lamination machine in class and want to offer this service school wide to our staff.
Laminating is a process requiring focus, manual dexterity and implementing a sequence of steps to create a successful outcome.
These are all areas we are presently working on and need to refine. My students will use the speaker system to hear the lessons as I have a hearing impaired students.
I plan on using the ink and mouse so that my students will learn to use the computers to collate inventory from the staff.
My special needs students are between 18 and 21 years old and we are looking forward to them transitioning to a bright and happy future.
We can only do this with skill sets that we know employers would seek.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
