Preparing Chicago Students for the April 8th Solar Phenomenon
Help me give my students the experience of viewing the solar eclipse with ISO solar eclipse glasses on April 8th. With the rarity of seeing 93.6% of the sun obscured in Chicago.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Supplying students with solar eclipse glasses sets the stage for students to experience the interconnectedness of science and the natural world.
These glasses will make a significant difference in the science learning of our 5th to 8th-grade students in the Chicago Public School and provide them with firsthand experience of a rare astronomical event.
Our goal is to create an immersive learning experience that encourages students to explore the world around them and for students to get excited about STEM topics.
Our students' diverse perspectives and endless curiosity make each learning moment fulfilling. This experience will be a learning moment that they will remember well beyond their time in middle school.
