My students need Research and Report Writing Center, paper rolls, stamps, Writing Process students portfolios, and a See It Grow Lab, to learn how to effectively write an expository piece.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The craft of writing must be systematically and explicitly taught to students. I want all my students to be able to express their thoughts in written form. I want them to feel like authors and give them an experience that will not only produce great writers but at the same time make them love it.
My students come from under privileged families.
They attend a school that just opened its doors this school year. They live in a community where 80 of the adults do not have a high school diploma. They all receive free federal lunches. They live with just the bare necessities but have great dreams and aspirations. They have a desire and drive for knowledge. They work hard and always greet you with a smile.
My Project
Please help my students become writers. I want to teach my students expository writing. I want to use the writing process portfolios to take them through the writing process. In addition I am also requesting a see and grow plant habitat so that they can see how plants change and grow and in turn so that they can take notes and later write about their findings. I also requested a research and write center so that they can begin to lean the skill of researching their own information.
Please help my students become the best writers they can be.
They need these resources not only to be motivated but in addition to acquire the craft of writing. Help me make writing fun and interesting. Thank you for considering helping my students. Together we can break the illiteracy and poverty cycle one classroom at a time.
