My Project
At our school, many students arrive each day without access to basic personal hygiene items—things like clean underwear, deodorant, a toothbrush, or a hairbrush. These essentials may seem small, but they have a profound impact on a child’s confidence, comfort, and ability to focus on learning.
When students don’t have what they need to feel clean and cared for, it can be difficult for them to fully engage in the classroom.
Some may feel self-conscious, distracted, or hesitant to participate. That’s why we are creating a supply of personal care items that can be discreetly provided to students who need them—no questions asked.
With your support, we’ll provide new underwear, undershirts, and bras in a variety of sizes, deodorant and body wash, toothbrushes and toothpaste, hairbrushes and combs, and travel-size hygiene kits for students to keep and use at home.
These items will be available in our Colts' Closet, so students can access them privately and with dignity. By meeting their basic needs, we can help students feel safe, respected, and ready to learn.
