Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
COVID-19 and inflation have caused economic insecurity for many students, and my goal is to make sure that kids have the energy and motivation to learn. I ask my students every morning if they need breakfast, and give crackers to children who are hungry. School should also be an exciting and fun place for students! In addition to food for their breakfasts, I am asking DonorsChoose to fund some special toys, such as LEGOS, for my school store that kids can earn for finishing their work.
Students deserve peace of mind in knowing they can always get food at school, and the joy of being rewarded for their hard work.
While I have bought lots of food for my students in the past, I would truly appreciate assistance in this area so that I can spend my money on more academic resources for my children. I want to make sure that they are prepared for a great day of learning, and are passionate to learn and earn their rewards.
