My Project
Preparing for your future starts now. I am a high school Speech Therapist working in Brooklyn, NY. With a major focus on preparing my students for a successful path towards a career, we often need to incorporate technology.
My students often need to use a computer to complete assignments, applications, essays and research.
Unfortunately, my office only has access to one desktop computer. This makes it difficult for students to work simultaneously.
This project will help give my students the opportunity to use a personal laptop in their time in speech therapy. Many of my students do not have their own computers at home making it very difficult to complete any of their online assignments and tasks.
Having a quiet space with access to the resources my students need is essential for their academic success and mental health.
In addition to the two laptops, I am requesting a few games for students to play. My speech therapy room is a safe space for students to come when the day can get overwhelming. These games will help my students have fun all while working on their higher order thinking skills.
