it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are curious, hands-on explorers who love to read. I am a Preschool teacher and I have twenty amazing four year-old students who are preparing for Kindergarten. My school is in a low-income, high poverty school district. Many families live on a single-income or a no-income household that relies on financial support from various programs such as food stamps, section 8, WIC, etc.
I strive to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences each and every day.
My students love to learn new things. They are very bright as well as creative. They are amazing hands-on learners.
My Project

In order for my preschool students to have a successful school year, they need basic everyday supplies to help them reach their full potential: Crayons, scissors, pencils, books, and folders.
Crayola crayons, colored pencils, and scissors are essential learning tools for preschool students. Students have homework daily and utilize the two pocket folders to keep everything neat and organized. Clear pocket holders allow students to practice writing their names each day in the classroom. Scissors are used to support fine motor skills and are a tool that parents seldom purchase for their young children. I create a lot of math and literacy games each year and use laminating sheets to protect the pieces and the directions. Books are essential in preschool to support literacy growth and provide a love for learning.
If you support this project, you will be helping children from low income families by providing them with materials that will be used both in the classroom and in the home in order to support their learning experiences throughout the school year.
Preschool is where learning begins! My goal is to provide enriched educational experiences that will support my student’s hands-on learning experiences.
