Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
In our third-grade classroom, we’re building not just knowledge—but the stamina, structure, and confidence students need to succeed on assessments. Many of my students come from underserved communities and benefit greatly from a calm, well-equipped learning space designed to support their academic success.
To make our room truly test-ready, we’re requesting a large timer to help students manage their pacing, magnetic anchor charts to keep key strategies visible and accessible, and wall putty to hang learning tools and motivation where students can see them every day.
A teacher planner will help me stay organized and intentional with small-group instruction and review sessions tailored to my students' needs. The testing offices are needed to give students privacy and minimize distractions during independent work and assessments.
These materials may seem simple, but they will help create an environment where students can focus, feel confident, and approach test days with a sense of calm and readiness.
