My Students
We feel so lucky to have 40 Prek students that try their best each and everyday whether they are learning at our school building or online from their home. Our school community is mostly made of students from low income housing.
These bright eyed and curious children have been so resilient amidst the current pandemic that we are facing for close to a year now.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students as well as two other prek classes will greatly support our remote learning. Hand held magnetic ten frame boards with counters will make our online math lessons that more fun and meaningful. The students will be able to hold up the ten frame and show their work more effectively, not just using the laminated ten frames that we have created for them.
With these new and exciting materials the students will have a solid foundation to build upon their math and reading skills.
The sight word activity journals will strengthen their understanding of print and help them to improve their writing skills too!
