Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in an inner city neighborhood. Most of the students have 2 working parents and many speak a second language at home. The neighborhood our school is located in is diverse, urban setting.
My students are eager young learners.
This school year will be their first exposure to a large public school. The children speak another language at home and are economically challenged. Most students get free lunch.
My students deserve to start their academic careers with as many opportunities as I can provide for them. The are curious and creative. They are full of questions and constantly exploring the world around them.
My Project
The art materials, craft supplies and colorful play dough will be used in our classroom centers. The office supplies will help us display their art work in our classroom. These supplies will give students new and fun art materials to create their designs.
Students will improve their fine motor skills and develop their artistic abilities.
These creative materials will allow students to work independently and create their own one of a kind masterpieces.
Our PreK Picassos will mold, design and create unique designs in our art center. Students will have colorful materials to work with and materials that have different textures and uses in their art work.
