Hello! As many of you know, this past school year I moved to PreK and I LOVED IT. I am in a classroom where we can have 12 General Education students and 8 students with varying special needs. Pre-Kindergarten is the first school/education experience for most of my scholars. We try to keep the same routine everyday: Breakfast, AM Circle Time, Small Groups, Purposeful Play Centers, Lunch, Nap, PM Circle Time, Encore (Gym, Music, Art), Snack, and finishing our day with Gross Motor Play. Everyday we have a snack in the afternoon and as many of you know, snack prices are skyrocketing! We try to give a salty snack and sweet snack counted out so all students get the same amount, not too much, and not too little. Some students choose to bring the snack home with them that day and that's ok too! Some items on this list are needed to help keep our classroom and scholars healthy! We need a lot of supplies to make sure we are taking care of our classroom environment and students. Lastly, our daily routine includes 45-60 minutes a day for Purposeful Play Centers. In these Centers, scholars get to the opportunity to explore and learn through independent play and playing with peers. We like to have plenty of options of learning activities to put in each center. We try to rotate the games and toys every 2 months because just like us adults, kids get bored seeing and playing with the same things everyday. With all this being said, please consider making a donation!
