My students in Preschool need materials to help them increase their creativity! We are in need of a train set, writing materials, and science/discovery materials! Please help us out!
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach in the south side of a large city in Illinois to primarily African American and Latino students. The majority of my students live in a neighborhood where they see violence and my classroom is their safe haven. The school has turned around in the past few years and scores have improved dramatically. The students feel the warmth from the staff, and you can tell they love to come to school to learn. My students are engaged in learning and the arts! They will appreciate the help.
My Project
Thank you for considering us. We are in need of material for our science and math areas of our classroom.
A train set will support my students math/sequencing abilities, problem solving, and pretend play.
My classroom is an area of discovery and exploration. Students will develop, create, and investigate how items grow, move, and evolve. We have a sensory table but no sand. We have a science area but not enough materials to make it engaging for my students. My group of preschoolers do not have a train set and our science area needs a little bit more loving. I want my preschoolers to have a love of science and math. You will be helping future scientists!
