My Students
I am a teacher in a low-income/high-poverty school district where my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to keep things simple and provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experiences during the school day.
From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hoping to inspire even our earliest learners to continue on a path of academic excellence.
My Project
My students need living creatures that will help enhance their learning. The butterflies, ants, and ladybugs will be used to learn and explore throughout our science center. The living creatures will not only provide the scientific skills they need, but they will provide a fun learning environment for my students. I know that these creatures will be exciting for my students to have.
I am willing to do anything to foster a love for school at a young age.
By having these creatures, the students will have a fun, learning experience that will carry on with them throughout their years of schooling.
