This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Hello everyone! I teach special education preschool in a community that serves low-income families. Since our school closed, it has been difficult to engage all of our students in everyday learning. This is mostly due to the lack of resources within family homes. Most of my students do not have internet access and/or a device to use at home.
My Project
These are simple and basic materials that would help keep our students engaged and learning until we are able to returned safely to our classrooms. Many of my students lack resources at home to continue learning.
These materials will give them countless minutes of learning at home with their parents.
The boards, magnetic letters and numbers would will give them the opportunity to continue learning the alphabet and numbers, which will help ease their transition to kindergarten next year. They will give them the opportunity to further develop their fine motor skills as well.
