This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My PreK-8th grade art students in New Haven, CT love making art. Unfortunately we get low mid-year on art supplies and start to ration the materials to make it to June. This said, it would really improve the PreK to 8th graders' learning acceleration and academic success to have a winter wonderland of art supplies so we can use the materials without stressing about running out by spring break.

It is my goal to have all students work with varied art materials throughout the school year.

This said, having new art supplies mid-year will increase student enrichment and deepen the student learning this spring when art supplies can sometimes get low. I hope you fund this project to grant the students the opportunity to have hands-on learning. Students love the opportunity to be in the art studio to critically think, make a mess, utilize the art supplies while they grow socially, emotionally, and gain responsibility in cleaning up and all while they better their mental well-being and health with creating art!

Our students hope to have your help to fund their art supplies mid-year so that in the spring students have glue, paint, and other great art supplies rather than just paper and crayons in the spring. Year to year art supplies get used up in the art studio by the entire student body who has art classes. When students are working super hard in the art studio, they love having materials to work with. This said students in this New Haven school would greatly appreciate your help. I look forward to this project being fully funded so I can show the students all the new great art supplies and tools they can use! The goal of the art studio is to create using materials.
