My Project
I am so excited about the possibility of this project coming to life! I hope to take my students on a journey to the past, when dinosaurs once roamed our earth. Our classroom will be transformed into a prehistoric time, where plants and dinosaurs are all around us! I want to take my students back in time to help them practice math skills! For example, we will practice decimals with dinosaurs, fractions with fresh water creatures, and explore the forest for different ways to solve problems. We can also discuss food chains/food webs for our Science block!
A huge dinosaur in the corner of a classroom is sure to motivate anyone!
I would love the blow-up dinosaurs; I know my students would enjoy them! I'm thinking the dinosaurs can be my assistants to keep an eye on all the kids. I feel like they'd give a good "teacher look" at any kids not meeting expectations. I am asking for drawstring bags that my students can take with them, as well as a few treats to take home. Some of my students don't have bags to transport their belongings, so I'm sure this would help a few of them as well! I am also asking for ceiling/wall decorations that will help make us feel like we're truly back in time. Thank you for allowing me to create such an engaging, memorable experience for my students!
