Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Pre-K classroom is a co-teach inclusion classroom which means that some students are in the classroom with an IEP. We have a program in which we work on themes throughout the school year such as arctic animals, forest animals, harvest season, community helpers, dinosaurs and so on.
Our students are constantly learning and gaining new information because they are in the process of exploring the world around them still which is why the building manipulatives will be so beneficial.
The themes that we have in the school year will be paired with the manipulatives so when talking about arctic animals for example, we can bring out the building blocks that match that theme. This will allow students to be able to combine the skills of what they know to what is being shown in the classroom.
