This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students come to school excited and eager to learn. Many of my students do not have a strong literary background. In Pre-K, they learn many important foundational skills through play and exploration. These literacy materials and games will help my students learn the letters of the alphabet and letter sounds. The teaching resources will help teach these skills in a fun and exciting way. They will begin to learn to sound out words and build words and sentences. These key skills are the first step in my students' learning to read and write.
A foundation for literacy in Pre-K sets these children up for success as they start their school careers.
Not only will the materials build on these important skills, but they also promote learning in a fun and engaging way.
