Pre-K TouchMath - A World of Learning at Their Fingertips!

My students need Touch Math Pre-K Kit, Touch2Learn - 3D Numerals, Touch Point Poster Set, and Touch to Learn Texture Cards to engage students of all abilities and learning styles.

My Students

HELP! I need math materials that will engage my animated - energetic special needs preschoolers and help them stay focused – materials that spark their curiosity and help them nurture their emerging self-confidence.

I know my 2-4 year old students are ready to learn basic math concepts.

They show me every day by counting everything we see! That is why I want to bring TouchMath into my classroom! As pre-K classrooms around the country evolve into the "new kindergarten," teachers search for effective curriculums like TouchMath. TouchMath materials combine play and academics to introduce young students to the world of numbers. Hi, My name is Ms. G, and I am a special education teacher working with special needs preschoolers in the morning and Kindergarten in the afternoon. My students have a variety of disabilities that include developmental delays, learning disabilities, Autism and other health impairments. My students are sweet, enthusiastic learners who need the opportunity to explore math in a fun, scientifically based, hands-on way.

My Project

TouchMath is a multisensory program that uses its signature TouchPoints to engage students of all abilities and learning styles. Children learn most effectively when all of their senses are involved. As they see, say, hear and touch using these signature TouchPoints, they will begin to associate numerals with real values. They will learn that a numeral (5, for instance) is not just a scribble on a page. It represents a quantity such as five apples, five flowers, five frogs or five TouchPoints. I am especially eager to try the tactile numbers with our students who are visually impaired. These little ones learn so much about the world from their sense of touch.

Honestly, I can hardly wait to see my little ones using these wonderful math tools...I know they are ready for them!
