My Students

I am teaching Pre K in a NYC public school. I have 13 students and I am trying to instill a love of learning and exploring through learning centers and play. For many, this is their first school experience and I hope to develop authentic learning centers that provide them not only with excitement to come to their class each day, but with authentic learning opportunities.

Please help me to create the type of classroom that encourages learning through play and exploration.

My Project

Pre Kindergarten is where we have an opportunity to build upon the skills tht families have introduced to their child. In class it is so important to work on having children become confident in the tasks they attempt. The products I am requesting will help my learners discover and problem solve. The math learning box set will help my students to learn and talk about their thinking while creating graphs, patterns and sorting. The table easel can be used to help my students with prewriting skills through fun and artistic ways. It has a side for chalk which will be a new way for them to express themselves! The ice cream counting game will not only reinforce counting skills but it also will help students with building their hand strength by using the tweezers to pick up the ice cream. I am very excited with how much my students LOVE school and learning. I want to make sure that they have every opportunity to continue to learn and discover.
