This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love learning---and not just from me! They would also love the opportunity for some high-tech learning. With a tablet listening center, students can listen to their favorite stories independently while following along on the tablet. They can also play educational games!

My students are all 4 years old, and they LOVE school!

They think everything we do is fun. They don't realize that they're also learning at the same time! They are a very active bunch and we spend a lot of time outdoors, so we sometimes need an opportunity to recharge and refuel. Listening to a story on the tablet is one way we can rest our bodies so that we're ready for more learning!

My Project

My students need 2 iPads with cases and headphones for a high-tech listening center. These iPads will be used during our indoor center time. Students in my class have the opportunity to self-select which center they would like to visit. I have a feeling this will be a very popular center. Students will be able to access many aspects of our curriculum with these iPads, including literacy, math, and science.

This iPad center will give students a great deal of ownership in their learning.

While they are not quite readers yet, this center will give them an opportunity to independently follow along with stories on their own.
