My Students

Hello everyone, I work at a Tittle I school where most of our students receive free or reduce lunch due to their families' income. These students find school as a second home because they get food, a welcoming environment and some loving teachers and friends. Also, school is sometimes the only place where they are allowed to play outside since most of them live in a trailer parking lot. These kind of places have limited space and students are forced to do only inside activities

Our school is very supportive with all of our studentsand always tries to help as much as possible but unfurtunately is not enough.

There are just too many students under the same circumstances and the resources are limited.

Please help me get more resources so my students can maximize their learning.

My Project

My students are starting to read, as beginner readers they need different level books. In addition, I would like to provide them with books that they like and that they want to read. At the moment, the selection of books in our library is limited and I would love to have more variety for them. Students need to be exposed to different kind of books.In addition, these books are related to the content that we are learning in the classroom. This means that by reading more about the topic, students will expand their knowledge and comprehension. Please help me build a strong literacy foundation for my students.
