Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Due to the low-income district, we are unable to afford new art materials for the students. Many of the materials that we still have are many years old or completely dried out. Therefore, we are requesting new materials such as a 3-sided easel to allow several kids to practice drawing and build up hand dexterity.
Many of these kids use drawing and painting as a calming and sensory stimulating activity.
We are also requesting keychain sized doodle boards to allow students to draw mini pictures on the go. Through these supplies, our children will be able to practice their drawing abilities and release stress through creativity.
