This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I work with amazing Pre-K students in a diverse school in Brooklyn. My students love to learn through play each day. They are especially interested in learning STEM concepts which is a huge part of our upcoming units of study.
Due to budget cuts, my class needs STEM learning materials that are hands-on and age-appropriate to truly learn these concepts.
We have many upcoming units of study which focus on STEM- Homes, Transportation, Light, Water, Plants, and Transformations are a few where we need hands-on materials my students can use to truly understand these concepts.
My class needs soil and pots to learn about plants. We need a STEM activity and graph paper to help us learn about creating and building homes. We need a butterfly kit to see and learn about the life cycle of a butterfly in person. We need science and math learning tools to practice these important concepts. We need ink to create various science games and logs to keep our information on. We need so many supplies that you can help us get!
