This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever wanted to let your artistic juices flow? That's the opportunity I want to give my students. Help my special needs students get crafty.

My students are preschool children with special needs ranging from mild to moderate developmental disabilities, autism, Cerebral Palsy, speech and language delay, and cognitive delays.

They are three to five-years-old. They all live in a low income area that has little artistic influence. They love painting, coloring, and creating designs with a variety of art materials.

My Project

My preschool students with special needs would greatly benefit from creating art. Our classroom needs paints, tissue paper, play dough , collage material and a variety of art supplies. Having access to art materials will allow my students the opportunity to develop important skills such as fine motor, communication, social and cognitive skills. These skills are necessary for their early development and school readiness. Young children are motivated by hands-on-activities, especially by art making projects.

This donation would greatly improve my classroom in so many ways.

It would give my students the opportunity to use their imaginations. These art supplies will enhance their fine motor, cognitive, and language skills. A variety of art supplies will allow them to learn basic concepts while they have fun. Also, with a variety of material they will be able to get more creative. These materials will be a great asset to my classroom and my students will extremely happy to have them.
