This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are something special. They start the year as shy 4 year olds but over the school year they learn how to become independent 5 year olds. They learn I will never expect perfection but they have to try. When they start to try they realize they can do so much more than they originally thought. The pride they start to have in their work or projects is the best part of the job.
My Project
Please help me give my students the opportunity to bring their readers home! We have a classroom set but with this donors choose my students would be able to bring them home. My students are becoming so excited about using all of the sounds they have learned in Pre-K, blending them and beginning to read! These books will be used at home to give my students the opportunity to show their parents everything that have learned. The pride on their face when they come back to school and tell me they have read to their family members is unforgettable.
