Hello! I am so excited to announce that I am moving from Third Grade to Pre-Kindergarten. Pre-Kindergarten is the first school/education experience for most of my scholars. Our daily routine includes whole group lessons, but also independent learning centers. In these centers, scholars get to the opportunity to explore and learn through play. The sensory tables and sand and water table allow for all types of scholars to increase their language development, cognitive development, fine and gross motor skills, creativity, emotional development, social skills, and stress reduction. The light table also allows for creative play, sensory exploration, and pre-writing skills necessary to learning reading and writing. Finally the play kitchen allows students to participate in dramatic play. Dramatic play is a crucial activity in early childhood development that can help children develop a variety of skills such as social and emotional skills, language development, creativity, and confidence. Since this will be my scholars first school and educational experience, I want to help students fall in love with learning and feel confident in their future educational endeavors.
