Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school currently serves 810 students which serve PK-5. The largest ethnic group of the 810 students is Hispanic at 73%. This is followed by African Americans at 23%, Asian 1%, and White 1%.

The majority of my students come from low-income households.

When my 3-5 year old students arrive at my classroom they are always smiling and ready to learn. It is truly amazing to see how students are thriving this school year. At this time of year, my students have built one-on-one relationships, have established routines in the classroom, are independent, and continue to explore their surroundings.

My Project

Help me give my students a variety of pop addition games that will enhance their critical thinking skills. I will teach a lesson on addition and will teach student number correspondence and how to add.

My students will have an increase in love and enjoyment for Math.

These pop add games will be utilized during my small group interventions and workstations. The bundle that I selected has differentiated games adding from twelve, to twenty, to thirty. All of my students' needs will be covered with these new pop and add games.
