Pre-K Music, Oh Hoo-ray!

My Project

We are thrilled to expand our specials program to include our youngest learners, Pre-K 3 (3-year-olds), ECSE (Early Childhood Special Education), and PK4 students. Beginning next year, our music classes will welcome even smaller musicians, and with them, smaller hands!

At Terrace, we are committed to instilling a lifelong love of making music from the very beginning of each student’s musical journey.

In every music class, every day, students sing, speak, dance, play, move, create, and listen to music. This holistic approach applies to all our musicians, including our youngest ones.

To support their musical growth, it’s important to use instruments that are developmentally appropriate and scaled for smaller hands. These instruments are specifically designed to be accessible and functional for early childhood learners, ensuring an inclusive and successful music-making experience.

The addition of tambourines, maracas, jingle bells, and triangles will allow us to create uniform class sets, providing a one-to-one instrument-to-student ratio. This ensures that every child has the opportunity to fully participate in every music activity.

We would be incredibly grateful for the opportunity to implement this initiative next year and celebrate the joy of music with our newest PK3 and ECSE musicians!
