Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is located in an inner city neighborhood. Most of the students have two working parents and many speak a second language at home. The neighborhood our school is located in is a diverse, urban setting.
My students are eager young learners.
This school year will be their first exposure to a large public school. The children speak another language at home and are economically challenged. Most students get free lunch.
My students deserve to start their academic careers with as many opportunities as I can provide for them. They are curious and creative. They are full of questions and constantly exploring the world around them.
My Project
This large materials cart will help me plan, organize and differentiate my math activities for my Pre-K students. I will be able to create mini math lessons for each of my small math groups.

The math materials I need to work with my small groups at centers will be portable and ready for every group of learners.
My hope is to use this cart to plan and organize my small math groups for our McGraw-Hill Building Blocks Math curriculum. The materials and resources will be easily sorted and organized on the cart for each group’s needs and lessons.
