This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school is part of the New York Pre-K for All initiative and we work in the Special Education program. We work with 2-4 year olds to improve their independence and participation in their class. Our student display difficulties in fine motor skills, gross motor skills, visual motor skills and sensory needs.
Our preschoolers in therapy are sweet, kind and loving and we aim to do everything possible to help them reach their goals and increase their participation in school.
Our preschoolers love to play, explore and interact in their enviornment. As compassionate Occupational and Physical Therapists we are determined and dedicated to helping the preschoolers lead a bright future!
My Project
Our preschoolers are in need of various materials. The materials will allow them to play and have fun all while reaching their fullest potential. This will make a difference in our student's learning because it will allow them to increase their fine/gross motor skills and participation in class.
Our site is brand new and we need help supplying the necessary materials in order to help our preschoolers reach their goals.
Some of the materials we need are as follows: fine motor game, bean bags for gross motor skills, and nuts and bolts for bilateral hand skills. We are also in need of ink in order to print various communication pictures for the children to utilize in therapy and laminating sheets for the paper.
