Our students are creative, thoughtful, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, and engaging projects that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are our inspiration!
Our school is located in West Harlem (Title I district).
Our student population is diverse and includes Hispanic, African American, Black, Caucasian, Asian (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian), Biracial, ENL (English as a New Language), and IEP (Individualized Education Program) students. Diversity within our school is something we embrace and nurture.
My Project
This iPad will also be used as an interactive tool for our students to learn digitally through applications such as Letter School. There are so many educational applications that are Pre-K friendly and will help our students progress in getting ready for Kindergarten. Additionally, in Pre-K, we collect data about students through an application called Teachers Strategies Gold! Unfortunately, It is so hard to collect this data without an iPad. By gifting us this iPad, we will be able to track our students and their progress throughout the year. It allows us to insert photos of them utilizing classroom materials and friends and easily input their daily interactions throughout the day. This iPad will also be used as an interactive tool for our students to learn digitally through applications such as Letter School.
This iPad will have multiple functions in our classroom from an interactive tool for learning to aiding in data collection of our students!
