Help me give my students a library shelf and supply caddy for the chance to recreate their classroom library area, where they can read books and relax in the cozy corner.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Colon's classroom raised $653

My Students
My pre-k students are all back in person this year - all 18 of them! It feels great to finally have a full class again, of course, with 3-foot distancing. I’m excited to have them back! I can’t wait to set up the classroom to their liking.
We had a flood because of Hurricane Ida and I lost a lot of books and a bookshelf along with our cozy corner.
The children love the cozy corner where they go for mindfulness or when they need alone time and usually take their favorite books with them. I’d like to recreate the cozy corner and get new books for them, especially their favorites.
My Project
The library shelf will be a great replacement for our old one which was destroyed because of the basement flooding. This new and improved shelf and supply caddy come with color coding to help our little ones organize their beloved books much more easily so they can know where to find them and place them. It also creates a new classroom job - librarian - a student who will be responsible for organizing books. At this age they love jobs!
This will be an awesome lesson of community, teamwork, and sorting because the children will help me color code and categorize our books.
