Can you imagine being in an early childhood classroom without books, tape, puzzles ,a puzzle rack, and fine motor games, such as Mr. Potato Head and Bristle Blocks? For many low-income school districts, it is a struggle to access these materials for our students. Preschoolers learn through play and hands-on materials. Play is the work of pre-k students, but in order to do that, we need supplies.
I plan on using the puzzles to develop spacial awareness and sharing skills, our books will help develop our students into strong readers, and the Sharpies will be used to write down the children's vocabulary development.
Mr. Potato Head and the Bristle Blocks will be used to develop fine motor skills, which helps with writing!
These are all staples in an early childhood classroom. The majority of our families do not have the resources to purchase these items on their own.
Our scholars are such eager, curious, and inquisitive learners! We are so grateful for your help!
